Lento Restaurant

April 26, 2010 by Nina

When my parents came to visit we all went to Lento for dinner. At first it seemed they couldn’t seat us, but we were able to sit at the oyster bar. I want to start out by saying that the restaurant has good intentions. I loved the idea of a restaurant with eco-friendly and organic food, but none of us much cared for our food. My mom got the burger (it was $5 burger night) and it was absolutely tiny, about the size of a slider burger. My dad got the lobster salad and oysters, which he said were okay. I ordered the “Red Wine Braised duck leg over truffled crispy chive potato gnocchi, shitake mushrooms, organic Norwich Meadows spinach” and it was terribly dry. The gnocchi was okay, it was pan-fried. But the duck really was awful. Julian ordered the “Polenta, Herbed ricotta cheese, organic Norwich Meadows spinach and tomato lasagna,” which was average, but nothing special. Overall, the food was overpriced for the quality and portion size. I will not be going here again.
