When you walk into Hair of the Dog, it has the atmosphere of a small pub in Ireland or the country somewhere. It was pretty empty on a Sunday for breakfast, so we sat upstairs, all alone. Immediately two adorable mini banana muffins were brought to us along with a wine glass of water. I ordered STRAWBERRY/CREAM CHEESE FRENCH TOAST (Cream cheese and strawberry filled double-decker stack of challah bread. Topped with a raspberry reduction, with fresh fruit) and Julian ordered HUEVOS RANCHEROS (Two poached eggs served on crispy corn tortillas topped with Havarti cheese, refried beans, salsa, tomatoes, green onions and guacamole). Both were beautifully presented. I would say the food was rather average and pretty expensive overall. It was a nice one-time place to visit. The brunch cost $30, and I would say that Love Bites is better.
