On Friday morning, we decided to get breakfast in New Haven, to avoid eating horrible road food. We at ate Pantry, a local favorite. Personally, this was sort of those “I knew it would be bad” situations, just because the décor was very “homey,” the food people had look diner-quality, and the prices pretty expensive. However, I was hungry, and we needed to be on our way, so we sat down. I ordered the breakfast sandwich (knowing I would be dissatisfied with whatever else I ordered) and Julian ordered the eggs Florentine, which he said were actually really good. But they also cost $10 and were certainly not worth that at such run-down restaurant. Still, the fruit that came with his dish was fresh and sweet. Would not go here again though. Normally, we would have go to Thali for delicious Indian brunch, but it wasn’t open that day.
