We had planned on kayaking but the weather wasn’t so great, so we took an unofficial walking tour from North End, though Chinatown to Back Bay. We walked around the area with brownstones, shops, and the public library exploring the area and taking in the beauty of Boston. We also went to the MFA for a few hours ($20 for students is pretty steep) to get out of the rain. We were starved, so we ate at 5 Napkin Burger—which I think ordinarily we would have known was going to be bad because of it’s 47% rating on Urbanspoon, but we decided to overlook the low rating because the burgers sounded too tasty. Big mistake. They cost $11 each, with no sides (the most expensive burger I’ve ever had), and mine—the Five Napkin special—was horrible. Not worth the price at all. And the Tuscan fries were average out-of-the-freezer bag fries with rosemary sprinkled on top. I was so disappointed that of all the wonderful places in Boston, I wasted my dinner and $26 on a horrible meal. The funny thing is that when we walked in we asked the servers about the horrible reviews and ratings and they assured us that it was great. After the meal was over, they did not ask us how it was.
