I went to Dominick’s with my mom on my lunch break, and didn’t think the food was very good. It has a cafe-style feel (I suppose it is a cafe and perhaps their baked goods are better), but with food in cases like at Bistro-To-Go. I had a Vegetarian Hummus Wrap that was just okay, and I felt that for the price, it was really not worth it. It just felt too bland. I would have ordered the Chicken & Red Pepper Mozzarella Panini, but per the cashier’s recommendation I had the wrap. That weekend, Julian and I wanted to take his dad to Gabriel’s, but it was closed. So being the only other place I could think of for breakfast in uptown, we went to Dominick’s. I ordered the Challah French Toast w/ maple syrup, and also a Corn Muffin toasted with butter. The corn muffin didn’t come, so I asked what happened to it (after we had all finished eating), and he said “oh shit I completely forgot.” Lovely. It was good once it came, but I think overall, we were all disappointed by our food. Generally speaking, they don’t have great options for breakfast either. Julian ordered oatmeal (something I didn’t even know he ate), and it was pretty boring, not that oatmeal can really be that interesting. I must say though that their cappuccino looked pretty fantastic.
