When we go to New York City, we usually stay with his aunt and her husband in Chelsea. They happen to live at the Strand, which Paradis is right around the corner from. When she showed us the store, I was surprised to find that it is a cute little bakery. Somehow I imagined a much bigger chain, like Pret-A-Manger. They don’t cook for themselves and always have great pre-made food in the fridge that we are welcome to eat (a lot of it from Paradis). The first place I check is, of course, the freezer, where she always has gelato from Paradis. The Chocolate Gelato is to die for. It’s so dark, rich, and creamy.
