  1. Dutch Ale House

I know it’s a bistro pub, but still, this place is so strange. It looks like a dive bar, but has a wonderful menu. With things like: Bacon, Fried Egg and Cheese Burger,  Pulled Bbq Pork and Brie Quesadilla, or Truffled Parmesan Frites, you would think you’re eating at the Terrapin.  And honestly, the food is as good (but cheaper of course). The only problem is that you have to sit in a crummy bar. When you first walk in, you are in a dark pub with bench-booth seating with the TV on, but you can also go to a better lit room that has a pool table. It’s only a little better though. Definitely not the place for a romantic evening, but good food none-the-less. Everything I’ve had was wonderful, and the truffle fries are some of the best I’ve had (easily as good at Arielle or Gigi’s). I recently had the Panzanella Salad (toasted focaccia, red onions, pine nuts, kalamata olives, baby tomatoes and feta over grilled romaine with harissa vinaigrette), which has grilled lettuce, similar to my favorite salad from Pescados. You see, I am comparing the quality of food here to some of my favorite restaurants. So you should really give the food a try, despite the atmosphere.
