I searched for a good breakfast place in Newport the morning of, because we were planning on spending the day there (not realizing how touristy the town is). I found this on urbanspoon, out of only four options for breakfast. It is a cozy, bustling place with extremely attentive, kind waitresses. The “hostess” (actually the “drink maker”) offered to try and make my mom’s favorite cafe au lait. We ordered juice, which was really disappointing. I don’t know what I was thinking, but somehow (and I’m sure this was their intention), I thought by “juice blends,”  they meant homemade, but you could clearly see the Welches containers. Perhaps if I had not seem her mixing these, I wouldn’t have been so dissatisfied. I ordered the Rancheros Light (Whole wheat burrito  filled with egg whites, tomato, cucumber, baby spinach, red onion, and swiss topped with salsa), which came with a fruit parfait. All of which was excellent.
